Help Advance Research for High Blood Pressure and Heart Disease 

Fleming Island Center for Clinical Research is currently enrolling volunteers for a clinical research study for adults with high blood pressure (hypertension). 

This study is evaluating a potential new treatment that may help improve heart health and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attacks or strokes. 

By joining this study, you may help researchers learn more about new ways to better manage high blood pressure and protect heart health in the future. 

No insurance is required to participate. 
Study-related care will be provided at no cost. 

Who May Qualify 

You may be eligible to participate if you: 

• Are 18 years or older and have a history of heart or cardiovascular disease 
  OR 
• Are 55 years or older and may be at higher risk for heart disease 
• Have been diagnosed with high blood pressure 
• Your blood pressure may not be fully controlled with your current treatment

About this study: 

This study is testing whether zilebesiran can help people with high blood pressure reduce their risk of major cardiovascular events, such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or death related to heart disease.

You may be able to join this study if you:

• Are 18 years of age or older and have established heart or blood vessel disease.
• Are 55 years of age or older and are at high risk for developing heart or blood vessel disease.
• Have a history of heart or blood vessel disease (such as coronary artery disease, stroke-related artery disease, or peripheral artery disease) or are considered at high cardiovascular risk.
• Have high blood pressure (hypertension) that is being treated with at least two blood pressure medications, including a water pill (diuretic), and your treatment has been stable for a period of time.

You may not qualify if you:

• Have a known cause of high blood pressure other than hypertension.
• Have dizziness from low blood pressure when standing.
• Have significant liver disease, severe kidney disease, or abnormal potassium level
