Heart Failure Clinical Research

Heart failure is a serious medical condition where the heart cannot effectively deliver enough oxygenated blood to the organs. It affects millions of Americans and may have debilitating symptoms including edema, shortness of breath, systemic inflammation, and reduced quality of life. Even with the best available treatment, there is still a risk of serious complications. Reducing the amount of systemic inflammation may increase health outcomes for people with heart failure. We are conducting a research study for people with heart failure that will evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational drug on cardiovascular health outcomes.

You may be eligible if you:

• Are 18 or older
• Have heart failure
• Have a preserved or mildly reduced ejection fraction (LVEF >40%) documented by echocardiography within the past 12 months

There are additional criteria to meet to qualify for this study. Volunteers who qualify for our study will receive study-related medication and study-related medical exams at no cost and a stipend for time and travel. No health insurance is required to participate.
