Comelia began her research career in August of 2021 as our Patient Placement Specialist and Fibroscan Technician. Comelia brings to us over 23 years of nursing experience with a background in Public and Community Health Nursing. Due to the many years of growing up locally and working in the local medical community, Comelia is known as “Mrs. St. Augustine”. She cannot go anywhere without knowing someone and telling them about research.

Comelia’s favorite part of working at St. Johns Center for Clinical Research is the team of people she gets to work with daily, using her career connections to introduce research opportunities to the community and getting to work with the newest medical advancements.

Outside of work, Comelia enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, reading, baking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
