Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily affects the joints, causing inflammation, pain, and damage. In RA, the immune system attacks the lining of the joints, leading to swelling, stiffness, and deformity. RA can also affect other parts of the body, such as the lungs, heart, and blood vessels. Symptoms may include joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, as well as fatigue, fever, and weight loss. There is no cure for RA, but early diagnosis and treatment can help manage symptoms, prevent joint damage, and improve quality of life.
