A native Floridian, Marie Bates is a Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Investigator at SJCCR. She has earned a master’s in adult nursing, a master’s in healthcare administration, and a postgraduate certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Most of her career was spent in nursing and hospital administration, but she later transitioned to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in a variety of settings and has always found time to volunteer.

She is currently working part-time with an infectious disease group, which allows her to participate in research studies at SJCCR.
