Painful Lumbosacral Radiculopathy (Sciatica)Â
Painful lumbosacral radiculopathy, commonly known as sciatica, is a specific kind of low back pain due to inflammation or pinching of a spinal nerve. It presents as electric, burning, and/or sharp pain in the lower back which may radiate into the legs. Researchers are currently investigating a method of targeting lumbosacral radiculopathy pain by preventing peripheral nerves from sending pain signals.  Â
Â
Fleming Island Center for Clinical Research is conducting a research study that will evaluate an investigational medication for Painful Lumbosacral Radiculopathy (sciatica).Â
Â
You may be eligible to participate if you:Â
- Are 18-70 years oldÂ
- Are over 100 pounds with a BMI under 40Â
